Nearly two million more units of senior housing by 2040 are needed to accommodate current growth, according to American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA).
Despite the current oversupply in senior housing, aging Baby Boomers will increase the demand steadily in the coming decade. Between 2030 to 2035, an addition of 96,000 units per year will be needed to accommodate them.
